Permaculture Albany held its inaugural gathering at the Rainbow Coast Neighbourhood Centre Community Garden on Sunday the 26th of April 2015.
Items discussed related to the preferred communication methods, financial dealings, social media roles, documentation, insurance options and potential events and projects.
Over the last month or so since the Facebook Group page was created we have had interest from around 60 locals. Well over thirty turned up for the initial meeting to have their say, make suggestions, gather info and meet other like minded locals. It was fantastic to have to move the meeting outside to accommodate numbers and do a dash home for extra tea cups.
Events and projects will soon be advertised to members and the groups inception will also be featured in the local paper in the coming week to coincide with International Permaculture Day on the 3rd of May.
